PS5 Slim Release Date, Spider-Man 2 Bundle Leaked

Cutting weight.

Last week, Sony revealed their plans to revamp the base model of the PS5 with the PS5 Slim, which would drastically drop the size and weight of the admittedly bulky console. Sony didn’t announce a set release date for the new models, except that it would be rolling out in the US across November, with the rest of the world following suit after that.

According to a leak that’s been reported by billbil-kun of Dealabs, several Japanese retailers have begun listing the PS5 Slim, with a release date pencilled in for November 10th, 2023. On top of that, billbil-kun has found evidence that in the United States, Sony are preparing to release a bundle that’ll include a PS5 Slim and a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, all for $559.99.

While leaks and reports like this should typically be taken with a pinch of salt, billbil-kun is regarded as one of the most prolific and trusted PlayStation reporters out there, as they’re typically the first person to break the news on what PlayStation Plus games will be available each month. With that kind of track record, it’s pretty safe to say that the PS5 Slim models will be making their debut around November 10th in the US and Japan.

Unfortunately for those who live in other markets, such as Europe, South America and other places, we still don’t have a set release date. Hopefully, we’ll see the PS5 Slim released around the world sooner rather than later, and keep those fingers and toes crossed that it won’t be as much of a nightmare to buy as the original PS5.

Hot take: scalpers are stinky.
