PS4 Exclusive Detroit: Become Human Free Demo Out Tomorrow

Detroit: Become Human

The ambitious new narrative game from Quantic Dream, Detroit: Become Human, will be available as a free demo from the PlayStation Store tomorrow (24/04/18), Sony have confirmed.

To celebrate the game going gold before release, the demo will consist of the game’s opening section, Hostage. If you’re yet to hear about Detroit, it’s a game set in a dystopia where androids are mistreated and looking for equality. The player will be able to make decisions that shape the game in fundamental ways, sometimes even life and death.

It’s similar to Quantic Dream’s other titles, but not on this scale and ambition. It promises to be at least an interesting experience, if nothing else. It’s courted some controversy already, but you will be able to make your own mind up on the game when it lands on May 25th.

The team at Quantic Dream also posted a heartwarming thank you to fans on the PlayStation Blog:

“David Cage, the entire team and myself are proud of the work we have accomplished during these four years. We are grateful to all our wonderful actors, composers, artists and partners around the world who have lent their talent to making Detroit: Become Human the very special experience it has become.

“We are also extremely grateful to our fans around the world. We have read all of your emails, all of your letters, all of your tweets and messages. Each of them has given us the inspiration to make the best possible game for our fans.

“Last but not least, we are extremely thankful to Sony and the whole PlayStation family for believing in us and enabling us to make our dreams come true.”

We’ve played a bit of Detroit already and liked what we saw, though we are eager to play a larger part of the game and really unspool the narrative. How about you? Excited or apathetic? Let us know down below, but not before you check out review for God of War, another PS4 exclusive.
