WWE 2K20 is fast approaching and the roster reveal is likely on the horizon. One of the more interesting factors to consider is who out of this year’s ‘mega-roster’ is going to be ranked the highest through their overall ratings. Last year’s installment saw Brock Lesnar and The Rock walk away with the most impressive overalls of 93, followed by the likes of Roman Reigns, John Cena and Steve Austin. At the other end of the scale, we had Curt Hawkins rated at 64 — no shock there.

With only a few names confirmed for this year’s roster, we’re going to throw down some predictions for some of their overalls ratings as well as a few other names that might find themselves at the top of the scale. Make sure you put your own ideas in the comments section below.

5. Becky Lynch – 89

With the Women’s division finding themselves in the spotlight in WWE 2K20, it would be silly for one of the cover stars to not find themselves at the top of the overall hierarchy. Becky Lynch has proven herself as one of the biggest threats in WWE, defeating the likes of Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and most recently, Natalya on her road to the top of the food chain.

‘The Man’ could make even more history by becoming the highest rated female wrestler in WWE’s video game history. It might be a little too left-field of a prediction to think she’ll be rated higher than 90, seeing as that’s usually reserved for legends and super-heavyweights. Ronda Rousey came in as the highest rated female in WWE 2K19, with an overall of 87, so I’d say Lynch could match that and maybe even top it by a couple of points.

4. AJ Styles – 90

‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles came in with a rating of 91 as part of WWE 2K19, while also fitting the bill of cover star. At the time, AJ was riding his biggest wave of momentum as WWE Champion, defeating some of the biggest stars in WWE, so putting him high on the list was a natural choice. Since dropping the title to Daniel Bryan and stepping away from the main event scene, it’s safe to say that he might leave a point or two behind with that.

Nevertheless, I think AJ Styles will come through as one of the highest rated characters in 2K20. The current United States Champion still holds himself as one of the biggest threats on the roster, so he should still find himself in the 90s this year.

3. Seth Rollins – 91

‘The Beast Slayer’ has that name for a reason. He’s truly stepped up in 2019, winning the Royal Rumble and going on to defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, and again at SummerSlam. Say what you will about Rollins’ status in WWE and whether he’s deserving of the pedestal he’s put on, regardless, WWE see him as one of their top-tier talents. I think that’ll be reflected in his overall in this year’s game.

Rollins is now 3-0 against Brock Lesnar, which is a huge nod to his wrestling ability. Rollins could definitely start turning players’ heads if he’s rated high enough. Last year, he only made it to 88, which would be a criminal rating for ‘The Architect’ this year. It’s time to pump those rookie numbers up and get him past the 90 threshold and into the highest rated superstars in the game.

2. Hulk Hogan – 92

Its been a minute since we’ve seen Hulk Hogan compete in WWE. In fact, it’s been over a decade now. But here we are in 2019 and Hogan is making his comeback to WWE video games. ‘The Hulkster’ seems to be returning in the form of his 2002 comeback phase, when he steamrolled over younger stars and captured the Undisputed Championship from Triple H.

WWE are doubling down on Hogan’s popularity and making him one of the most marketed roster inclusions, and with his storied history in WWE, it’s hard to argue that he’ll come in as one of the highest rated characters. Hulkamania is going to run wild this year, and with a few versions of Hogan likely to be included, I suspect his name will be revealed as one of most powerful in the game.

1. Brock Lesnar – 92

One constant in WWE seems to be that Brock Lesnar is one of the most dangerous forces in all of combat sports. Despite the couple of losses he’s taken this year, Lesnar still holds himself as the most intimidating characters in wrestling and I think that’ll certainly be reflected once again in this year’s game. Brock came in as one of the highest rated superstars in 2K19, so do I think that’s going to change? Nope.

Brock is naturally the guy to put at the top of the hierarchy, of course he can dominate everyone on the roster, but should certainly take a slight dip in the overalls due to his recent losing streak to Seth Rollins. I think if Lesnar is going to be equalled with anyone, then it’ll likely be peak Hogan and/or The Rock. Those German suplexes aren’t getting any weaker, so expect to be ragdolled about once again by ‘The Beast Incarnate’.

Of course, with any WWE 2K game, if you’re not happy with the overalls then you can always switch them about with the Accelerator. Meaning if you wanted to make Viktor and Oney Lorcan the toughest hosses to ever step into the squared circle, then go ahead.
