Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: Where To Find Water Stones

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Water Stones

Of the 400 Pokémon in the Paldea region, only a select handful require an evolution stone before they will evolve. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Water Stones are easy to find and can be used on just two Pokémon if you’re looking to complete the Pokédex.

Firstly, Shellder will evolve into Cloyster and then everyone’s beloved dog-like legacy Pokémon Eevee will evolve into Vaporeon using a Water Stone too. Here’s how to find Water Stones.

The easiest way to get Water Stones in the Paldea region is to buy them from Delibird Presents in Mesagoza, Levincia or Cascarrafa for 3,000 Pokédollars or 3,000 League Points depending on your currency of choice. If you can’t see the evolution stones in the shop, make sure you’ve progressed the Victory Road storyline enough. You’ll need to have defeated three gym leaders.

Alternatively, Water Stones can be found on the ground in the wild. They’re most commonly found in East Province (Area Two) and behind the Cascarrafa Gym.

Sparkling spots on the floor should be interacted with to discover what item is hidden and if you’re lucky enough it’ll be a Water Stone.

If you need more stones in Scarlet and Violet, we’ve got you covered when it comes to Dusk Stones and Dawn Stones.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are out now for Switch.
