Pokémon GO Fest 2022: Date, Time, Tickets & What You Should Know

GO Fest is the big yearly event for Pokémon GO players, with offerings for both paid and non-paid participants. This year’s GO Fest sees the usual 2 day event, followed by a finale later in the year, and will have the usual abundance of Pokémon to catch and raid for, with new shiny forms released and special Pokémon making an appearance.

Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Date and Time

Go Fest 2022 will take place on 4th and 5th June, 2022 and will run from 10am to 6pm local time both days.

A finale event will also take place on 27th August, and Niantic will reveal more about this nearer the time.

 

Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Tickets

As with previous events, there are bonuses for both ticket and non-ticket holders. A paid ticket will allow you access to extra spawns, including rarer Pokémon, and other bonuses including extra items.

A Pokémon GO 2022 ticket will cost $14.99, or regional equivalent, and this will allow you access to both days and the final event. Should you wish to take part in the final event only, you can buy a ticket for that for $10.99, or regional equivalent.

 

Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Saturday Bonuses

There will be 4 rotating habitats on the Saturday, each of which will feature a handful of different Pokémon spawns. These will come under the category of either City, Plains, Rainforest or Tundra. The spawns for each of these will be as follows (an * indicates that the Pokémon can be encountered shiny):

For those that have a paid ticket, using an Incense will give you bonus spawns, as well as an increased chance of encountering shiny Pokémon. The Incense spawns will be:

City – Galarian Weezing* and Klink*
Plains – Torkoal (previously regional spawn only) and Axew*
Rainforest – Tropius (previously regional spawn only) and Pancham
Tundra – Mr. Rime and Galarian Darumaka*

Also spawning from Incense will be the Unown letters G, O, U and B, all of which can be shiny.

Ticketed players will also have access to a new Special research, which will end up with an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin, in its Land Forme. You must open your Pokémon GO game during the hours of this event, or you will not be able to access this research afterwards.

 

Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Sunday Bonuses

All of the Pokémon featured on Saturday will again be available to be caught on the 2nd day of the event. There will be a brand new Pokémon making a debut in Tier 5 raids, which is yet to be revealed, and there will also be a Special Research for everyone.

Ticket holders can look forward to an additional Special Research, after finishing the first, along with more frequent Rocket balloons for battle, and twice the Mysterious Componenets for completing these battles. The Pokémon attracted to Incense on the Saturday will also be attracted again on the Sunday too.

 

Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Extra Bonuses

For all players, there are a handful of extra bonuses including:

– Axew being available in Tier 1 raids, and as a newly released shiny, this will no doubt be highly sought after
– A special Pikachu with a Shaymin inspired costume
– Taking an in-game snapshot will reveal a special surprise

For ticketed players, their extra bonuses include:

– Special event based stickers from Gifts and Pokéstops
– Five snapshot surprises during the event hours on both days
– Nine free Raid Passes from Gyms

The ticket for the GO Fest 2022 event is currently available to buy in the in-game shop.
