Giving Up is No Option
They light up my weekend
Bringing joy and smiles
But something still isn’t right as
happiness is gone after a short while
I am not geared to handle this
The loneliness and sorrow
It’s not just them I miss
But warmth of another to borrow
Cold and alone for yet another night
Knowing I have so much to give
Hoping my tunnel will show me light
So I can learn again how to live.
