PlayStation’s Days Of Play 2021: Rewards, Challenges & What You Should Know

Here's all the key details you should be aware of.

Days Of Play

Sony have announced that they’re bringing back their Days of Play celebration for 2021, bringing players together to try and complete certain challenges in order to earn community rewards. You can get a feel for the event with the trailer at the top of the page, but if you’re interested in knowing more, read on.

What Is Days Of Play 2021?

Days of Play is a huge PlayStation community event that aims to bring the entire PlayStation player base together in a collaborative effort. While there’s a sale on PS4 and PS5 games, along with a free online multiplayer weekend during the event, the main attraction is the PlayStation Player Celebration event.

The PlayStation Player Celebration is split into 3 stages, and sees those involved working together to complete set community milestones in order to unlock specific PSN avatars and backgrounds. If players manage to complete a stage early, they can try to finish bonus goals for more rewards, and if all three regular stages are completed, everyone involved in all three will earn even more rewards.

PlayStation Player Celebration Start Time

The PlayStation Player Celebration is split into three stages, with the first one kicking off at May 18th, 12:00am PDT, and lasting until May 24th, 11:59pm PDT. Stage two starts immediately after the first one at May 25th, 12:00am PDT, running until May 31st, 11:59pm PDT while the final stage will run from June 1st, 12:00am PDT to June 7th, 11:59pm PDT.

There are two main goal types during the PlayStation Player Celebration: games played and trophies earned. For playing PS4/PS5 games, you’ll need to play a game for an hour, either in one go or across multiple play sessions. You’re even encouraged to play with friends as you’ll earn double points. Trophies earned is pretty self-explanatory, but each entrant can only have a maximum of six trophies count to the total per week.

Here’s the specific goals, bonus goals and prizes for each stage:
