Overwatch Second and Final Beta Test Coming This Weekend

Overwatch

From Friday 15th through till Sunday 17th April, Blizzard will be deploying the second and final beta test for the heavily anticipated title Overwatch. This is an invitation only event like the first one back in the end part of 2015, not to be confused with the early access open beta coming up in May before release. The reason is to get the server hardware and technology ready for release.

The test begins at 18:00 CET Friday 15th and will end at 06:00 CET Sunday 17th. The invites will start arriving into players accounts from midnight Friday, April 15th and players will know if they are selected, by having the install button appear on the Overwatch tab in the Battle.net client, also they will have a Overwatch Beta license in the Your Games Account on the player’s registered Battle.net account management page. There will also be the invite emails. Just ensure you are clicking a certified link.

During the beta, players will have access to all 21 heroes but a limited selection of maps. These will be Hanamura, Route 66, and Nepal. Weekly Brawl and Competitive Play will not be available for testing. On the official blog post by Blizzard, the details do stress the following:

“Since this is a stress test, we’re primarily interested in your technical feedback, like how Overwatch runs on your system, your experience with the beta servers, critical bug reports, and other game-impacting problems. One of our goals is to push our hardware to the limit, so don’t be surprised if you experience performance issues or run into unexpected downtime—that’s all part of the process.”

Overwatch is one of the games I am seriously hyped for this year, and I will be praying that I can get myself into the beta this weekend, and get a little hands on before the game officially launches on May 24th 2016.

Have you guys managed to lucky to get into the closed beta or the closed beta weekend at all? What are your thoughts on Overwatch? Comment below and let me know!

Overwatch will be available on PS4Xbox One, and PC.
