Overwatch: Exploit the Lucioball Glitch At Your Own Risk, Warns Blizzard

Everyone loves Lucioball. It’s a neat little addition to one of the best games of the year so far, providing plenty of silly, instantly forgettable fun that may more or less be just a re-skin of Rocket League.

Picture the scene: you’re about to score a goal from across the pitch, bringing your team to level terms with the time ticking away. As the ball creeps closer towards securing your glory, SUDDENLY D.VA. She shoots away the certain goal, leaving you and your team to slump away to defeat like the end of a bad movie.

If you’re one of those utter bastards, stop it. Blizzard are onto you. In a forum post, game director Jeff Kaplan explained:

“Apologies for this bug. We’ve attempted to fix it numerous times and have had unrelated issues preventing the fix. We hope to have a fix this week.”

“In the meantime, we are in discussions with our Customer Support group to start taking action against those deliberately using the bug to play heroes other than Lucio.”

“Please do not exploit this bug. Fair warning.”

As we’ve said before, it’s Lucioball. Not D.Lucioball, Widowball (which sounds like a laugh riot, by the way), or Junkball. Leave the exploit alone, or face the consequences.
