It’s based on the light novel by Kei Sazane and Ao Nekonabe, with the animation studio Silver Links successfully giving it an anime adaptation in 2020. The studio is currently working on other titles like Tearmoon Empire, Mission: Yozakura Family, and Sasaki and Peeps. Nonetheless, it’s best that they pushed the release window back instead of releasing a rushed, poorly-made season.
What Is Our Last Crusade: Season 2 About?
Our Last Crusade: Season 2 will pick up where the previous season left off, which means it’ll start from Volume 5 of the light novel. If it follows Season 1, it might adapt until Volume 8, but it might go further due to pacing complaints from the fans. After all, the light novel now has 15 volumes available, so there’s plenty of content to animate.
Regarding the storyline (spoilers ahead), Season 2’s plot will have Sisbell uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the Nebulis Sovereignty. Furthermore, Nebulis will be raided by Imperial forces next season, which features showdowns between Unit 907 vs. the House of Hydra and Saint Disciples vs. Purebreds.
