Oscars 2022: Where To Watch in the UK & US

Ready for the gleaming red carpet?

Oscars

The Oscars are kicking off their 94th year with three hosts: Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer. Sykes commented that while there will be jokes, none of it will be unkind or unpleasant: “We aren’t going to trash anyone – satire but not mean-spirited.”

The last time the Oscars had a host was in 2018, when Jimmy Kimmel hosted for the second straight year. There hasn’t been a host since actor Kevin Hart stepped down as the planned host of the 2019 Oscars. The show subsequently went without a host and was deemed a success, and the Academy elected to continue without a host in 2020 and 2021.

With the Oscars soon to arrive on our screens, on Sunday, March 27, 8pm ET, a lingering question remains – where can fans catch this massive event? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered: here’s where to watch the Oscars 2022.

How to Watch the Oscars 2022 in the UK

UK audiences can catch the Oscars live on Sky Cinema Oscars. You will require a SkyTV subscription which costs £26 a month; there’s also likely to be a highlights reel on Sky Max shortly afterwards.

Alternatively, you can purchase a NOW TV package, at about £5 a month, though there’s also a seven-day free trial you might want to make use of.

American audiences can catch the Oscars live on ABC. If you don’t have cable, fret not, you can always try FuboTV, which provides live streaming access to ABC and has a seven-day free trial if you’re not particularly invested in its other content. You can also try other live TV services, like Hulu With Live TV, YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream.

The show will start at 8pm ET. If you want to check out the E!’s Brunch at the Oscars pre-show, that starts at 2pm ET and the E! Live from the Red Carpet pre-show follows at 5 pm ET.
