Official Trailer For Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns Is Hilarious Stuff

The movie we never knew we needed but now can't live without.

Netflix just released the trailer for Between Two Ferns: The Movie, and it is just as hilarious and chaotic as one would expect. The premise of the original web series was Galifianakis interviewing celebrities and other famous people between two ferns, but the result is so unlike a real talk show, for instead of asking safe questions or making the interviewee feel at ease, Galifianakis is brash and seeks to discomfort as much as possible.

It’s terrible fun for us as the audience, and it pokes fun at this culture of celebrity worship we have going on in our society; there is no fawning between two ferns, just Galifianakis trying to be serious as he asks ridiculous questions.

The trailer gives us a peek into the line-up of celebrities who will be featured in the movie, with Matthew Mcconaughey, Benedict Cumberbatch, Brie Larson and Jon Hamm getting interviews, and other celebrities with cameos/appearances, like Will Ferrell and Chrissy Teigen. If you were on the fence on whether you wanted to stream and watch, just know that Keanu Reeves will be in the movie as well, which is reason enough to watch. Fingers crossed it’s an interview and not a brief cameo.

The series is known for its interviews with former President Barrack Obama as well as former Presidential candidate Hilary Clinton. Needless to say, the interviews only work if the celebrity plays along, so taking offense would just lead to much awkwardness. Go watch the Sean Penn interview to see what I mean.

Between Two Ferns: The Movie comes out on Netflix September 20th, 2019.
