This year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view has been under attack by some very subtle spoilers that have been leaked via the venue’s promotional material. Both the main roster’s male and female MITB participants have been revealed, but all signs seem to be pointing towards the inaugural NXT MITB match to take place at this year’s event. This is very intriguing news, if it turns out to be true.

Fans have quickly picked apart the leaked images, looking for any signs of doubt about their validity. Of course we’re still a few weeks out from the event itself, with no names confirmed for either the men’s or women’s matches, let alone any sign of NXT being involved.

NXT boasts a huge roster packed full of the best of the independent scene and looking at this line-up, it’s hard to deny that fact.

The image shows Adam Cole, Pete Dunne, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Jaxson Ryker, Dijakovic and Tyler Breeze all vying for the chance to cash-in for (presumably) the NXT Championship. It’s great to see some of the names that have slid into the mid-card be given this opportunity to break out as a threat to Johnny Wrestling, or whoever happens to be holding the championship over the next months.

An intriguing name on that list is Tyler Breeze, who has been known to make the odd cameo at NXT Live Events, most recently challenging Velveteen Dream for the North American Championship. Perhaps this is his official comeback to the developmental brand, having very little to do on the main roster until Fandango returns from injury to reform The Fashion Police.

If this match is indeed going ahead at MITB, then this could very well go down as one of the most exciting ladder matches of recent memory. It would be great to see some of the NXT stars be given that mainstream exposure before their eventual call-up, giving the casual fans something to recognise them by whenever they do make their debut.

Who would you like to see win the first ever NXT MITB ladder match? Let us know why it is Pete Dunne in the comments below.
