General Manager William Regal announced a huge tournament following this week’s episode of NXT. Eight of the Performance Centre’s biggest and brightest future stars will be stepping out of the shadows and competing against one another in the ‘NXT Breakout’ tournament. The winner will receive a future championship match against a title holder of their choosing, so there’s all to play for over these next few weeks.
In a video released on WWE’s YouTube channel, William Regal confirmed the eight names who we’ll be seeing in the coming weeks. There are some massive stars lined-up, ready to wow Full Sail and the global audience, they are as follows:
- Jordan Myles (ACH)
- Boa
- Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee)
- Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott (Shane Strickland)
- Dexter Lumis (Sam Shaw)
- Bronson Reed (Jonah Rock)
- Angel Garza (Garza Jr.)
- Joaquin Wilde (DJZ)
This is a huge opportunity for the budding stars of NXT, superstars who have been putting in the hours on NXT live events across the US. The majority hold notable reputation amongst fans of independent wrestling, so it should be exciting getting to see the likes of Trevor Lee, Jonah Rock and ACH mix it up under the WWE umbrella, but it’ll also be interesting to see some fresh faces who have obviously impressed coaches at the PC.
