Whilst that is an impressive list of games to have created, it’s almost hilarious to see the mostly reviled Alpha Protocol sharing pride of place with RPG classics such as Knights of the Old Republic II, Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity. Just be honest with yourself, it was a bit shite. Good ideas, but it was a poor man’s Mass Effect.
So what could this new project be? Currently, the team is working on Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, which is slated for release next year. Both Pillars of Eternity and the sequel were successfully crowdfunded, but perhaps this is a much bigger project. Maybe it’s the long rumoured sequel to New Vegas, or a new KOTOR. Or we could stop deluding ourselves and realise they’re making a sequel to Alpha Protocol, because the world isn’t bad enough.
