Microsoft and the team over at Visual Concepts have announced that NBA 2K21 will be making its way over to Xbox Game Pass tomorrow, and will be available to play on the cloud for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The news comes from an Xbox Wire post written by Visual Concepts themselves.
Wait, Isn’t There Two Versions of NBA 2K21?
There is, and the Xbox post isn’t exactly clear on which version of NBA 2K21 will be added to Game Pass, as the Xbox One version and the Xbox Series X | S version are pretty different in terms of the features that the offer.
However, it seems like the NBA 2K21 being added to Game Pass tomorrow is the Xbox One version, as the blurb makes mention of the online-based “Neighborhood” mode. In the Series X | S version, Neighborhood was replaced with The City, a much larger social space with even more to do. Honestly, The City looks like Charles Barkley’s Shut Up and Jam: PlayStation Home Edition, and I’ll let you decide if that’s a good thing.
