Playstack and Cold Symmetry have announced that Mortal Shell, the indie Soulslike adventure that launched back in August of last year will be receiving an Enhanced Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S players. Check out the announcement trailer at the top of the page.
What’s New With The Enhanced Edition?
Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition is a remaster of the original game, with upgraded textures and the ability to render the game in 4K at 60fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Series S version isn’t as powerful, but will still output an impressive 4K at 30fps. If you’re a PS5 owner, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the console’s DualSense controller to better immerse yourself in the action of the game.
Alright, How Much Is This Costing?
If you’re already a Mortal Shell owner on PS4 or Xbox One, the Enhanced Edition will cost absolutely nothing. It’s going to be available as a free upgrade, and better still, the launch of this remaster will keep the same RRP of $29.99/£24.99. It’s a pretty extensive upgrade, for a damn reasonable price. For those looking for a physical release though, a limited Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition – Deluxe Set is coming with a 140-page artbook, reversible cover and art postcards. The full package will cost $39.99/£34.99.
