Mortal Kombat 1 Invasions: How To Find The Nether Stone

Mortal Kombat 1’s Invasions mode allows players to travel through the realms in a tabletop inspired mode, with players moving from node to node, completing fights and earning loot like new Talismans and Relics. You can even unlock new costumes, palettes and gear in order to customise the various kombatants on the roster, making it a worthwhile mode to play if you’re looking to personalise your preferred character.

Those who’ve played the mode may have encountered certain nodes that are locked off by a wall of fire, with a prompt that they need to find a Nether Stone in order to continue. This Nether Stone might appear to be quite elusive, but if you’re willing to put the time into Mortal Kombat 1’s Invasions Mode, this is how you can find the Nether Stone.

In order to obtain the Nether Stone, you need to make your way through the Invasions Mode and defeat Hellfire Scorpion at the end in the Fire Temple. Once you’ve defeated Scorpion and unlocked the skin, you’ll also receive the Nether Stone, which you can use to access these high level areas in all previous Mesas.

Each Mesa has their own Nether Stone section, but some are more worth exploring than others, as only some sections contain chests that contain new outfits and palettes for the different characters. Still, each fight also nets you a large amount of Seasonal Kredits, which can be spent on different outfits and gear.

That being said, if you’re looking to earn high level talismans, you’ll be pleased to know that each node in a Nether Stone area will give you a new Talisman. The downside of that is you can only hold 12 Talismans at a time, meaning you’ll be discarding a bunch of Talismans after every few fights.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X & S and Nintendo Switch.
