Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on July 9th. The release date was announced via a Monster Hunter Digital Event which took place today. You can check it out at the top of the page.
What Is Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin?
The second game in the spin-off series to the mainline Monster Hunter franchise, Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will cast you as the guardian of a legendary Razewing Rathalos. Whether or not the Rathalos will be raised to become an ally to humanity or just another mark for a hunter remains to be seen.
If you’re really excited for the game, three of the characters in the game – Razewing Ratha, Tsukino, and Ena – will be available as amiibo figures before the game launches. Activating those will allow the player to download special in-game armour, and the same is true if you have save data for the original Monster Hunter Stories game.
