The Premier League Player of the Month nominations have been revealed for October 2021 in FIFA 22, and it’s hard to see anyone other than Mohamed Salah slaloming and jinking away with the award this time out.
The Egyptian had been on fire throughout October, scoring goal of the season contenders back-to-back and adding to his already impressive goal tally for the season, which now sits at 10 in 10. That’s pretty good.
Here are all the nominees:
– Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)
– Maxwel Cornet (Burnley)
– Phil Foden (Manchester City)
– Tino Livramento (Southampton)
– Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)
– Declan Rice (West Ham)
– Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
– Youri Tielemans (Leicester)
A case could be made for Ramsdale getting the nod after his heroics for Arsenal, or even Chilwell after being in fine goalscoring form, but there’s only one way this vote is going, regardless of just how generally popular Salah is anyway. Attackers tend to always dominate these votes, but let it be said that Livramento just generally deserves a bit of an upgrade.
FIFA 22 fans can vote over at plpotm.easports.com for their PL POTM for October, with the winning player getting an upgraded card in Ultimate Team that will be available through an SBC. You’re probably looking at a 90-92 card for POTM Salah, which will probably ratchet his dribbling up to 99. Would be pretty accurate, based on those Watford and City goals.
Here’s hoping the requirements aren’t quite as outlandish as that Ronaldo SBC, though.
FIFA 22 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
