The original rumours were true, as it’s been announced that Steve, the mascot for Minecraft, will be joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and he looks absolutely incredible. Check out the trailer for yourself above.
Wait, Minecraft Steve?
Yes, Minecraft Steve, and he’ll also be launching with special Alex, Zombie and Enderman skin variants. The trailer above showcases Steve’s abilities in combat, and he moves and act just like you’d expect he would in Minecraft, even with the ability to build blocks on the stage to create new obstacles for your opponent.
So When Can We Play Him?
There’s no set release date yet for the Minecraft pack, but a special gameplay video will be broadcast at 3.30pm BST on Saturday, 3rd October. Perhaps we’ll hear about a release date then. Steve and friends will be joining Min-Min as the second character pack for Fighters Pass Vol. 2, with four more characters left to reveal. Fingers crossed for Dante, everybody.
