March 2019’s PlayStation Plus Games Available Today

Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness are available now.

Modern Warfare

The first month without any PlayStation 3 and Vita games in the mix, March 2019’s PlayStation Plus games are available today for subscribers on PlayStation 4 and are two wildly different titles.

The headliner is arguably Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, a retooling of the iconic FPS that spawned a million and one imitators. It noticeably improves the visual quality from its PS3 era predecessor, but also charges extra for map packs and comes laced with microtransactions. Maybe just play the single-player? It still holds up.

The Witness is a puzzle game that wants you to hate your own brain, and it’s the supporting act for the month as it were. Far more open than most of its peers, those who grew up having to use a journal to get through games with find plenty to love here. You may need some multivitamins before you even try this one.

And, as mentioned, there are no new games on the other PlayStation platforms through PlayStation Plus, which also impacts the amount of games available on PS4 through cross-buy. It’s a big loss, but these two games are fairly large, so here’s hoping future months stick to this pattern.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness will be available from now until April 1st; April’s games will be up for grabs from the 2nd as it’s the first Tuesday of the month and that’s when the new games always drop. Don’t forget that you can just add them to your library to keep them if you don’t fancy the download right now.
