Macaulay Culkin Seeks His Own WrestleMania Moment

Macaulay Culkin is seeking his own WrestleMania moment for this year’s event.

The former child actor – star of two Home Alone movies – made his first move earlier this month after answering Rusev’s challenge to face a celebrity opponent at New Orleans on April 8.

After Rusev appeared to balk at the prospect of hitting “little Kevin McAllister or Richie Rich”, Culkin put the screws to the Bulgarian, claiming he would be “culked” should the two ever meet in the ring.

Undeterred, and declaring Rusev Day “yesterday” (sacrilege!), Culkin moved onto bigger things – literally.

Hitting up Braun Strowman over Twitter, the actor pitched the idea of teaming up to take on The Bar for the RAW Tag Team Championships. Strowman is so far scheduled to take on the incumbent champions alone after winning a Battle Royal for the number one contendership without a partner.

With no reply forthcoming, Culkin has moved on to issuing challenges to all and sundry. As of Tuesday morning, he challenged the little-known Paul Smackage to a brawl at the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

Don’t worry if you’ve not heard of Paul Smackage. Not many have seen the master of the small package, the fighting pride of Grapevine, Texas…namely because he’s an invention of the Edge and Christian Pod Of Awesomeness.

Challenging fictional entities to fights probably isn’t the most sound strategy. The last time we saw that, Vince McMahon was goading the Big Man Upstairs himself, putting God together with Shawn Michaels in a tag match against the McMahon boys at Backlash 2006. They truly were more simple times.

Although it’s unlikely Culkin will get his WrestleMania moment, you can’t knock the man for trying.

Culkin is no stranger to the squared circle. He turned up at a Bar Wrestling show in Los Angeles in December 2017, using Home Alone-style tactics to interfere in the night’s main event.
