During today’s Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, Plot Twist and Rogue Games have announced that their Lovecraftian Metroidvania game The Last Case of Benedict Fox will be coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X | S in early 2023. The Last Case of Benedict Fox sees players take on the role of the titular character. It’s Boston in 1925, and the self-proclaimed detective “must uncover the fate of a family while traversing a dark, eerie world of emotions made manifest while battling the demon trapped inside his own body”. Players will explore a 2D world that combines the best of the Metroidvania genre’s exploration, along with challenging combat similar to a Soulslike game.
