We’ve been pretty interested to see how Agony turns out over here, especially considering how it’s been in development for so long. It certainly looks the part, but we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out how it actually plays.

Originally funded on Kickstarter, Agony thrusts players into Hell as they look to uncover the mystery of the Red Goddess; the creator of the nightmare the protagonist finds himself unable to wake up from. She’s the only one who knows how to escape, so it’s up to you to get it out of her, one possessed demon at a time.

As well as offering a single-player campaign, Agony will also come with a challenge mode with randomly generated levels for players to compete on for high scores.
