Link Click, locally known in China as Shi Guang Dai Li Ren, is an animated show that first ran in 2021. It’s about two shopkeepers, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, who can jump into photographs. Together, they use this power and help fulfill their clients’ wishes and discover secrets hidden within the photos. Changing events in the photos will affect the present reality, which could prove to be disastrous.
At the end of Season 1, Lu Guang gets stabbed by a possessed Qiao Ling. They realized too late that someone else had the same power they did and was using it to commit crimes. It’s been almost two years since that major cliffhanger, but don’t worry. The release window for Link Click: Season 2 has been confirmed, and you won’t have too long to wait.
When Is Link Click: Season 2 Being Released?
UPDATE: Link Click: Season 2 will start streaming on Crunchyroll from 13th July 2023.
ORIGINAL STORY: Link Click: Season 2 will be coming out sometime in Summer 2023. The official Link Click Twitter tweeted about it saying “Let us meet again in the midsummer”. The trailer that accompanied the tweet also flashed “2023 Summer” at the end.
An exact date hasn’t been announced yet, but June, and the rest of summer, is just around the corner. The date should be revealed any minute now.
What Is Link Click: Season 2 About?

Link Click isn’t based on a light novel or manga (technically manhua, since it’s Chinese). So, finding out the plot for Link Click: Season 2 isn’t as simple as opening up a book and reading it there. All we have to go off is the trailer.
Based on the trailer, they seem to be hinting strongly at Lu Guang’s death after the events in Season 1. However, because they’re hinting at it so hard, many believe it to be a red herring.
Regardless of Lu Guang’s fate, the trailer shows Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling hunting the mysterious criminal. The unknown person that can also possess people and is responsible for numerous crimes, and Lu Guang’s fate.
Which Studio Is Making Link Click: Season 2?
The co-producers for Link Click: Season 2 will be the same ones from Season 1: Bilibili and BeDream. As for the animation studio, LAN Studio will still be working on it, but now, Haoliners Animation League will be helping out too.
Although more popular as an online video-sharing platform, Bilibili has also started producing anime since 2015. Some of their works you might recognize are Fire Force and Gleipnir.
Link Click is actually one of BeDream’s first anime. The only other anime they have produced are Swarm and The Indomitable.
LAN Studio is another company that’s fairly new to the industry. To Be Heroine and Xiang Ling Ji are other anime they’ve animated.
Haoliners Animation League began animating in 2015. Some of their biggest works include The Daily Life Of The Immortal King and Heaven Official’s Blessing.

If you want to catch up on the series before Link Click: Season 2 comes out, you can find the first season on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and of course, Bilibili.
There’s no confirmation if Crunchyroll or Funimation will have Season 2. For Bilibili, since they’re one of the show’s producers, it’s practically guaranteed that you’ll be able to watch it there.
