While not the biggest open world game in the world, Like A Dragon: Ishin‘s rendition of 1860s Kyo can still be quite the big sandbox to get lost in, especially due to the aesthetic and design of the time. Luckily for you, there’s an option to get around Kyo just a bit quicker with fast travel.
To fast travel in Like A Dragon: Ishin, players can chat to any of the palanquin drivers around the districts of Kyo get transported to other districts for 500 mon. This unlocks after Chapter 3, but you won’t have much reason to use it before then anyway.
Here’s what the palanquin look like on your map:
The most obvious one to point to is the palanquin outside the blacksmith in Rakunai.
Bear in mind that you can’t be exactly specific where they take you, it’s just to the spot in the same district where you can also catch a palanquin “taxi”. You unlock more “taxi ranks” as you go and the sandbox of Kyo opens up.
The good thing about this, though, is that you can deepen your relationship with your driver the more you use them, which also goes some way towards ticking off Diligence Records and earning you more Virtue.
