A collectible that’s been featured in multiple Yakuza/Like A Dragon games over the years is the Coin Locker Keys. Players can typically find these keys across either Kamurocho or Sotenbori, and because the majority of Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name takes place in Sotenbori, we’ve got 50 Coin Locker Keys to find once again. That might sound daunting, but you can actually find all of the keys pretty easily with a shortcut. This is how to find the Coin Locker Keys in Like A Dragon Gaiden.
Where To Find Coin Locker Keys
Coin Locker Keys in Like A Dragon Gaiden: Infinite Wealth can be found in one of two general places across both Sotenbori and The Castle, the gambling hub area unlocked in Chapter 2. They can either be found on the ground, which is signified by a glowing mark on the ground, or they can be obtained by using the Spider grappling hook ability. These items are often located up high, either on rooftops or on top of trees and telephone poles, and can be identified by a glowing blue flame. All you need to do is look in the item’s direction, press square/X and Kiryu will obtain the item.
How To Easily Find Coin Locker Keys
In Chapter 2, after completing some missions for Akame, she’ll send you off to meet the weapons dealer Mizorogi, who’ll give you some additional gadgets to use in combat. After obtaining the Hornet gadget from him, head back into his workshop and speak to him, and you’ll be able to purchase the Contact Lenses gear item. While this item provides a decent boost to your attack power, its real hidden benefit is the fact that it reveals the location of Locker Keys on the map.
Whenever you open your map, you’ll be able to see an icon for the Coin Locker Keys in that specific area, but the issue you’ll run into immediately is that not every area in The Castle is available from the get-go. You’ll need to advance through the ranks of the Coliseum and reach Platinum in order to access everything that The Castle has to offer. You’ll also need to advance to Chapter 3, as that’s when you unlock the Daidoji hideout in Sotenbori, which contains another key.
Something else to keep in mind is that locker keys can also be located inside of shops, restaurants and entertainment establishments located within Sotenbori and The Castle, and in those instances, the keys will only appear on your map when you’ve entered said building. If there’s multiple floors, the keys will also only appear when you’re on that specific floor. If you’re missing a couple of keys and you can’t see anything on the map, check shops like Poppo, bars and Mahjong Gambling Hall in Sotenbori.
Fortunately, the open world of Like A Dragon Gaiden isn’t the same size as something like Starfield, so finding all the locker keys isn’t the trickiest thing in the world, especially when you have the contact lenses in your backpocket.
