Assassination is a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it.

A recent NoClip documentary might have revealed that IO Interactive are working on Hitman 3. During the documentary, which you can check out below, host Danny O’Dwyer mentions that the team is currently “working on new Hitman content and looking ahead to the third Hitman game.”

Towards the end of the documentary itself, IO Interactive’s CEO Hakan Abrak speaks candidly about the third game in the series: “Hitman is a trilogy. There’s a bright future – there’s this full realization of the whole World of Assassination that we’re looking towards as well. The World of Assassination, when that’s complete, it’s going to be one game with all the locations starting from Paris in Hitman to the last location in Hitman 3.”

In the meantime, IO Interactive are currently working on a new IP, which was mentioned by O’Dwyer: “The majority of the studio, at least here in Copenhagen, is working on something secret, and rather excitingly, something new.” Plus, IO are still supporting Hitman 2, with a new Sniper Assassin map based in Siberia going live today.
