Insomniac’s PS4 Exclusive Spider-Man To Be Released September 7th

Spider-Man

We’ve been anticipating its release for what feels like forever, but we’ve finally been given the news: Insomniac’s Spider-Man game will be released worldwide on September 7th, and will be exclusive to the PS4.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a release date reveal without the announcement of some special editions of the game, and today is certainly no different. Firstly, the Digital Deluxe Edition will include the base game plus three new post-launch chapters. Titled Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps, these three chapters will include new costumes, new villains and more.

If you’re looking to spend some more money, the Collector’s Edition includes all of the previous stuff plus a steelcase, an artbook and a statue of Spider-Man perched on something so “spoilery”, Insomniac have opted to hide the base until closer to the release date. Talk about a bold move.

Pre-ordering any version of the game will get you three bonus costumes, two of which haven’t been revealed, a new gadget, bonus skill point to level up your Spider-Man and PS4 themes and avatars. We’ve got our fingers crossed for a Spider-Man 2099 outfit, but we’ll settle for the Punk one for now. It looks pretty good in motion.

Insomniac have promised that more details will be coming over the course of the next month, so if you want more information, you won’t have to wait long to get it. Are you excited for Spider-Man on the PS4? Let us know in the comments!
