Humble’s One Special Day Bundle Is Your Best Excuse To Play Alpha Protocol

Is your Steam library just now overflowing enough with games that you know you will never have the chance to play, leaving you teetering on the edge of quitting your job in the hopes of finally playing them or just purging them from your hard drive altogether? Too bad: here’s the Humble One Special Day bundle.

This collection of games follows the standard Humble template: you choose what games you want based on the tiers and pay a variety of different prices. The typical pattern is: the more recent the game, the more likely it is to be on a more expensive tier.

The first tier, which will set you back a princely $1/76p features Crazy Taxi, Binary Domain, Streets of Rage, and OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood. Could you imagine the reaction you would get if you could travel back in time and tell people toiling away at the Streets of Rage cabinet that they would be able to play the game on their PC with a bunch of other games for less than a dollar?

Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy

The next tier costs just $6.37/£4.85 and comes with all the games on the “lesser” tier as well as Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition, GRID 2, Alpha Protocol, and Operation Flashpoint: Red River. I have never played Alpha Protocol despite people never shutting up about how innovative it is, so this may be my best chance.

The final tier for the Humble One Special Day Bundle is, well, it’s a bit underwhelming. For $9/£6.85, you get all of the games mentioned as well as Stronghold Crusader 2, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (which solves the Thanos problem pretty early on) and also $2 Humble Wallet credit for Humble Monthly subscribers.
