Everyone’s favorite yellow-haired, shadow-cloning ninja has gone through so much in the past few decades. He’s fought through Naruto, Shippuden, and now Boruto; few other characters in anime have achieved as much as Naruto Uzumaki has.
There’s no doubt that Naruto is experienced beyond his years, but exactly how many years does he have? With a little bit of math, here’s how old Naruto is in Boruto.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations takes place 15 years after the fourth great ninja war and the end of Naruto: Shippuden. Considering Naruto was 17 years old by the end of Shippuden, he would be around 32 or 33 years old in Boruto.
This means that he was around 20 or 21 when Boruto was born, making him a pretty young dad.
At what age he became Hokage is unclear, there are no actual confirmations, but most consider it to be sometime in his late 20s to early 30s. He’s not the youngest Hokage because Minato and Hiruzen were younger, but still very impressive.
This would also mean that he would be around 36 or 37 in the flash-forwarded part of Boruto since that part was confirmed to be 4 years in the future.
When Is Naruto’s Birthday?
Naruto was born on October 10th. The Naruto-verse apparently shares the same calendar as the real world, at least month-wise.
There are no mentions of specific year numbers in the series though. It’s practically impossible to date the series since the development of their technology is all over the place. It has its own history that’s completely different from ours, so it could be in the distant past, present, or future when compared to our dates.
As for the history of Naruto’s birthday, the writers chose October 10th because it’s the day when Naruto’s character was conceived.
The date was mentioned in Episode 247 of Naruto Shippuden during Naruto’s conversation with his mother, Kushina Uzumaki. This was after Naruto fought the Nine-Tails for his training on the Island Turtle. Kushina managed to speak to him because Minato stored part of her chakra in the now-opened Four-Symbols Seal.
Kushina told him the exact details of his birth and said that it took place on the night of October 10th.

Most of the ninjas from Naruto’s generation are now in their prime age, so hopefully, they’ll all be given their time to shine in Boruto. It will be incredible to see how each of them has grown in power since the end of Shippuden.
