Hillary Clinton’s Army Brims with Sexists

Sexism comes in many forms, as presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton knows. She’s faced causal venom from conservative commentators who appear to be auditioning for a judge’s role on the next series of America’s Next Top Model. It takes no skill to dissect the shallowness of those more interested in the wrinkles on Clinton’s shoes than her policies.

What is more dangerous is the new sexism, espoused by self-identifying progressives, rooted in identity politics. It is based on a savage hunger to have Clinton in power despite what her policies mean for workers and countries plagued by American bombs. It is a selfish desire that mistakes supporting a female candidate over ‘old white men who have had their time’ with virtuousness. Somehow, the pursuit of female advancement has led to the embrace of regressive ideas.

The drive to get more women from all backgrounds into politics is a noble cause contaminated by the prioritisation of identity over policy. Domestically, Clinton has no ambition to improve the material conditions of the lowest-paid wealth creators. Her ‘sympathies’ for individual campaigns for a $15 an hour living wage reek of simpering corporate equivocation. She doesn’t want to raise the federal minimum wage, currently a paltry $7.25, because her corporate backers disapprove and it contradicts her free-market faith.

It is somewhat unlikely that Soros Fund Management, the hedge fund management firm who’ve so far pumped $7,042,700 into her campaign, will happily support the policy once she is in office. Carefully spun words of ‘encouragement’ are just a tool to get her into power. Clintonites, blinded by the sexist notion that a woman will automatically care for the disadvantaged better than a man because she must’ve struggled through life, show astonishing disregard for working-class people whose living standards will be crushed by her free-market fanaticism. A cursory glance at her rhetoric shows the living wage is not coming. Clinton’s presidency will be a market place for plutocrats already gorging on the carcass of American democracy.

Budding spin-doctors use sinister phrases to whitewash the severity of her awfulness, particularly on foreign policy. One assumes they participate in an occult ritual of collective bum-wiping with George Orwell’s Politics and the English Language to foster togetherness. Clinton’s ‘flawed’, maybe even ‘imperfect’, her defenders squeal. She’s ‘moderate’, with policies to show isolationists like Bernie Sanders how to cope with shifting geo-political events engineered by the United States for their benefit.

I know some of us have unrepentantly backed the illegal invasion of Iraq under a false pretext and showed little contrition afterwards, despite the heap of bones, gore and shattered morality left by ‘good intentions’. We’re imperfect after all. All of us have actively sought advice from evil incarnate Henry Kissinger on how to overthrow democratically elected governments, but that’s a sensible way of creating moderate allies, isn’t it? Her foreign policy will keep arms dealers pirouetting in luxury bathrooms and holidays for interventions to come. When American arms cause bodies to pile up in Yemen and Palestine, Clinton’s army will be there to clean the blood away and roar ‘misogynist’ at critics who dare point this out.

Clinton’s ascendancy to the White House is inevitable. Donald Trump’s sociopathic trolling of the electorate will wither once the wider population can get at him, leaving Clinton free to become the United States’ first female president. From thereon in. the extrajudicial killings, extended surveillance and erosion of workers’ rights will begin to the sound of deafening cheers from Clintonites happy to see a woman in the highest office in the land.
