And the best part is: the Hajime No Ippo manga is still going strong. So, future anime seasons, movies, and specials are definitely not off the table. Hajime No Ippo Watch Order Guide

Some anime have different chronological and release orders to keep some secrets hidden longer. Fortunately, all of Hajime No Ippo’s entries are already released in chronological order, making the Hajime No Ippo watch order pretty straightforward. Here’s the full watch order. Go knock yourself out.

  • Hajime No Ippo (Season 1) – 75 Episodes
  • Hajime No Ippo: Boxer no Kobushi (Special)
  • Hajime No Ippo: Champion Road (Movie)
  • Hajime no Ippo: Mashiba vs. Kimura (OVA Movie)
  • Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger (Season 2 ) – 26 Episodes
  • Hajime no Ippo: Rising (Season 3) – 25 Episodes

Technically speaking, the first run of Hajime No Ippo in 2000 is actually made up of two seasons. But ever since New Challenger and Rising came out, the first Hajime No Ippo is generally referred to as Season 1.

 

Should You Watch The Hajime No Ippo Movies And Shorts?

Anime movies and specials have a habit of being non-canon. Most of the time though, the sports genre seems to be immune to this. Since these series are all about character development, each battle they go through is an important step in their growth.

Both of the Hajime No Ippo movies are canon and should be watched. Even the Boxer No Kobushi special episode is canon. They all feature significant matches in Ippo’s career so be sure not to miss them.

 

Where Can You Watch Hajime No Ippo?

The best option for your Hajime No Ippo cravings is Crunchyroll. The US version has almost every entry in the series except for Season 2. If you’re from another region, here are all the options where you can watch each entry.

Season 1 is on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and RetroCrush, depending on your region.

Boxer No Kobushi is included in the DVD release of Season 1. If you don’t want to buy a physical copy, Crunchyroll and Netflix currently have it as part of the first season and labeled as Episode 76.

Hajime no Ippo: Mashiba vs. Kimura and Champion Road are also on Crunchyroll as part of the first season.

Due to some licensing issues, Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger is the trickiest one to find. Legally, you can only watch it by buying a DVD or Blu-ray copy. You can find these physical copies on Amazon.

As for Season 3, Hajime No Ippo: Rising can only be watched online through Crunchyroll.
