The 36th annual Golden Joystick Awards have now wrapped up, a brisk hour and a half of handing out awards with a few new trailers interspersed in-between. The categories were broad, but God of War managed to snag the most gongs with four in total.
It was a fine but unspectacular show that serves as a pretty good warm-up for The Game Awards in December. Joining God of War with big wins were Fortnite, Red Dead Redemption II, and much deserved recognition for Hidetaka Miyazaki with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Check out a full run-down of all the night’s award winners, which were mostly decided by fans, down below. Bold denotes the winner.

A couple of truly wild picks in there, Fortnite especially. It’s also odd that Red Dead Redemption 2 was up for a Critics Choice award but not eligible for the fan vote. Oh well. See you again next year, where Fortnite will probably win again because the thing just won’t die.
