We’ve been wondering what InFamous developers Sucker Punch are up to for a long time, and now we know: a new samurai game for PS4.
Called Ghost of Tsushima and announced at Paris Games Week 2017, little was shown of the new game apart from a teaser trailer which suggests a theme of foreign invaders and crumbling crusaders. Check out the trailer and synopsis below:
“The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan–until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But, honorable tactics won’t lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting–the way of the Ghost–as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan. “
No release has yet been announced for Ghost of Tsushima.
Are you keen? For one beautiful second, I thought this was a new Onimusha game, but it wasn’t to be and never will. Sigh.
