Ghost Recon: Wildlands Demo Comes to PS4 and Xbox One

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Looking for an open-world squad-based shooter to tide you over until the release schedule explodes into action again? Ghost Recon: Wildlands has you covered – well, for five hours at least.

A demo for the newest Ghost Recon game (which doesn’t really fit into the GR mould) is now available for PS4 and Xbox One.

Lasting for five hours, the demo gives players the opportunity to experience the game offline or online, though the latter is the best way to play Wildlands by far with some friends.

Wildlands has been receiving strong post-launch support since it landed back in March, including a whole bunch of DLC. It surprised many by topping sales charts for over a month, though the playerbase has decreased since then. Still, if you can round up your friends for five hours over the weekend, it’s worth trying if you haven’t yet.

We reviewed Wildlands back in March and found that it was a fun if typically buggy experience:

“Despite the minor and not so minor technical hiccups that can briefly stymie the experience, Ghost Recon Wildlands is the most fun I have ever had in a multiplayer game and the glitches, while frustrating, never served to hamper my fun for more than a few minutes.”
