WWE’s corporate website has confirmed that SmackDown Live is officially moving home to Friday nights in a five-year deal with Fox Sports.
“WWE and Fox are a perfect match” according to Vince McMahon, as we rapidly approach the 1000th episode of Smackdown Live. With the backing of the Fox network, it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a massive push for SmackDown to become on-par with the ‘A Show’ Raw.
This should certainly get lots of new eyes on the product, which could only mean great things for the SmackDown brand and the company as a whole.
The big move is confirmed to take place on October 4th, 2019. Book the night off lads and ladies.
