If nothing else, Donald Trump’s reprehensible ban, which bars people from seven majority Muslim nations from entering the US, has engendered some pretty creative protesting. So many different people from so many different walks of life have spoken out against it that the whole thing has morphed into a kind of enormous, infinitely complex middle finger.

Now producer, DJ and all around audio wizard Four Tet (real name Kieran Hebden) has thrown his hat into the ring. Over the past couple of days, he’s been slowly bolstering his ever expanding main Spotify playlist with music from Syria, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Iran and Sudan.

This seems to have been inspired in part by Hebden’s previous work with Omar Souleyman, a singer from Syria who has since risen to huge acclaim. He and Hebden worked together on his breakout album, Wenu Wenu. Along with music from Souleyman, recent additions to the playlist include Yemeni folk singer Anderson Bakewell, Iranian guitarist Kourosh Yaghmaei and Somali singer and performer Hassan Adan Samatar.
