How’s this for a glow-up: the Port-A-Fort is getting an improved and (presumably) Legendary version in Fortnite by the name of Port-A-Fortress, which sounds like it’s definitely going to be on the big side.
The description for the Port-A-Fortress, which is taken from the daily news you find in-game, states that you will be able to “take defence to new heights”. This is probably because anyone can build four ramps and give you a good seeing to in a standard Port-A-Fort.
The new item will likely work identically to the Port-A-Fort in that it will consist of metal and create a structure immediately after you throw down the grenade-like object. The Port-A-Fort was criticised when it was announced way back when for eliminating the building skill gap for new players, though it’s not quite been adopted as widely as some had feared.
That may change with the Port-A-Fortress, which may launch before, after, or during the launch of Fortnite season 6, which we’re waiting on a release date for. Also keep an eye out for the Port-A-Skirmish, which immediately makes everyone hide in boxes for minutes at a time.
