Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 8 has brought with it a sea of change, including some brand new weapons, one of which is the Sideways Minigun.
Anyone who’s played Fortnite since at least the start of Chapter 2 know how much to fear the Minigun, which has almost always been overpowered in one form or other. Add in a special Sideways modifier that makes it hit bonus damage when the weapon heats up and you have what many would probably call an overpowered weapon.

The Sideway Minigun is available as an Epic rarity weapon at its rarest, though you are also able to get a special Legendary one from defeating waves of Cube Monsters in The Sideways.
Even the standard version of the Sideways Minigun is a really powerful weapon though, great for keeping enemies suppressed with its super high rate of fire. While it might not be great for sweatier lobbies where everyone builds, the Sideways Minigun will deal some serious damage in more casual playlists.

You will be able to craft the Sideways Minigun with Cube Monster Parts, which are dropped by Cube Monsters.
Sideways Minigun Location
The Sideways Minigun should also be a regular pick-up on the map, seeing as how it’s only available in Epic rarity at its rarest.
Your best bet of getting one is by heading on over to the Sideways, the new areas of the Season 8 map that seem to have been created by the influence of Kevin.
Bear in mind that the Sideways changes location each match.
