Fortnite and football will once again collide with the arrival off the Kickoff Set and a special collaboration with Pelé in the form of an emote and special tournament to celebrate the legendary footballer. But is there a way to get the Kickoff Set for free without having to pay V-Bucks?
Yes is the answer, though you will have to manage really high placements in the Pelé Cup, so it’s not guaranteed. Here’s everything you need to know to try and win the new football skins in the tournament for free.
When Does The Pelé Cup Take Place?
The Pelé Cup will take place on January 20th, 2021 at different times for different regions. Be sure to venture in-game and explore the Compete tab to find the right time. Also ensure you are in the Fortnite lobby 15 minutes before the start of the tournament to avoid disappointment.
How Do I Unlock The Kickoff Set For Free?
You must place in the following positions at the conclusion of the Pelé Cup to earn the Kickoff Set, as well as an FC Santos shirt signed by Pelé himself.

There will also be one point awarded per elimination. You have ten matches to accumulate as many points as possible.
Will The Football Skins Come To The Item Shop?
Yes, the Kickoff Set will be available from January 23rd alongside the emote. There’s no details on pricing just yet, but it shouldn’t be any more than 1500 V-Bucks based on prices of NFL skins and the superhero sets in the past.
