Fortnite 2 – Season 1 Forged In Slurp: Dance At Compact Cars, Lockie’s Lighthouse & A Weather Station

How's your map knowledge of Chapter 2 going so far?

Week 2 of Fortnite: Chapter 2 has arrived and with it drops the third mission of the season, ‘Forged In Slurp’. Week 2 is living up to Chapter 2’s veritable tsunami of changes, delivering a mix of new and unique challenges that lean on new mechanics and the return of more classic but interesting challenges.

The focus of this article will be one of these more ‘classic’ challenges, which involves map knowledge (which being a new season has significantly closed the gap between newbies and veterans) and landmarks. The challenge ‘Dance At Compact Cars, Lockie’s Lighthouse, And A Weather Station’ is the fourth challenge in the ‘Forged In Slurp’ mission. This means you will need to complete one challenge in the mission before this one is accessible.

The challenge itself is pretty straightforward, asking you to dance at the three named locations. It doesn’t need to be done over different matches, but they are all fairly distant from one another, so it’ll be likely you can only dance at one per match. The biggest challenge is that Epic is asking you to locate three unique landmarks on a very fresh map that is barely two weeks old.

Without further ado the map below has all three locations circled and colour coded.

As mentioned, all the locations are quite distant. The Compact Cars are circled in blue, Lockie’s Lighthouse is circled in yellow and The Weather Station is circled in red.

Compact Cars

The compact cars (circled in blue) mentioned are really just alluding to the Chapter 2 map version of Junk Junction. West of Dirty Docks and east of Frenzy Farm across both rivers is a small junkyard filled with crushed cars. This junkyard occupies G4 on the main map’s grid. Find a pile of compacted cars and dance for credit.

Lockie’s Lighthouse

Lockie’s Lighthouse (circled in yellow) is located on the northwestern edge of the new map’s landmass. Directly northwest of Pleasant Park is a small coastal island with a lighthouse standing tall upon it. It occupies C1 on the main map’s grid. Remember you need to dance on/in the lighthouse itself to receive credit.

Weather Station

The final landmark is the weather station (circled in red) and is located on the southeastern corner of the map. Directly east of Misty Meadows and directly south of Retail Row are some snow covered mountains. The most southeastern mountain will contain a large weather station on its southwestern edge. It occupies G7 on the main map and you’ll need to dance within the weather station perimeter to receive credit.

Once you dance at all three locations, you’ll complete the challenge and be one step closer to completing the mission and receiving the rewards contained within.
