Flight of the Conchords UK Tour Beset By Ticket Shortages and Scalpers

Flight of the Conchords

Looks like a band meeting is in order after many fans of New Zealand comedy duo Flight of the Conchords are being left sorely disappointed this morning.

Earlier this week, the duo announced dates for their first UK tour in 7 years, with tickets for venues across the thr UK going on sale at 10am this morning.

But social media has been swamped with a huge outcry after tickets seemed to sell-out everywhere within seconds.

Many fans have been quick to point the finger at Ticketmaster, with tickets available on resale for, in some cases, nearly 3x the original value, with others wondering if everything had sold during the pre-sale.

Other fans are having limited success going directly through the venue’s websites directly.

Music critic Simon Price further blamed former Culture Secretary Sajid Javid for siding with touts:

Ticketmaster tweeted that they have been pushing for more tickets to the shows, with an extra date at the O2 Apollo in London announced for March 30th.

Currently, Flight of the Conchords are set to perform in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow and Dublin, bringing a mixture of old classics and new songs.

One would have to assume that with demand being this exceptionally high, Flight of the Conchords will be announcing more dates soon.
