Disney have released a first look at their live-action adaptation of Mulan, based on the 2D animated action comedy musical of the same name released in 1998. The image for the new film showcases lead actress Liu Yifei dressed as the titular character.

The original film depicted the tale of Fa Mulan, a young woman who disguised herself as a man in order to stop her grandfather from having to join the military. Mulan was a commercial success and very quickly became one of Disney’s most popular movies.
