WWE Presents First-Ever Women’s Match In Saudi Arabia At Crown Jewel

What a twist.

WWE have officially announced via press release that the first-ever Women’s wrestling match to take place in Saudi Arabia will happen at Crown Jewel. WWE have been criticised both internally and externally for their ongoing relationship with the Saudi government, funding a culture that has openly looked down upon female participation in sports such as professional wrestling. Although things seem to be taking a turn towards progression, as Natalya will go one-on-one with Lacey Evans in Rihyadh tomorrow evening.

Natalya and Evans are set to conclude their series of matches that have received praise from fans and journalists alike. We can only imagine that they’ll go all-out for this monumental match in Saudi Arabia. They will be featured on the main show, alongside titanic title fights featuring Brock Lesnar, ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, Cain Velasquez and a huge clash between Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman.

Has this changed your opinion on WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia? Or is this more politics at work? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
