The Switch version of FIFA is undefeated in getting shafted.

EA have announced that FIFA 21 Ultimate Team players will be blessed with a new David Beckham card for free, but only if you play on a platform that doesn’t rhyme with Bintendo Ditch. Yep, it’s time for Nintendo Switch FIFA players to get shafted again.

David Beckham In Ultimate Team?

To unlock Beckham for your team, you’ll need to play FIFA 21 between December 15th and January 15th, and you’ll be granted an untradeable Beckham card that’s based on his initial debut for Real Madrid. His rating is also reflective of that debut, as there are upcoming Icon cards that reflect other eras in his career. He’ll even be available in the Volta mode as a Groundbreaker, if that’s your bag.

So Why Isn’t He Available On The Switch?

It’s because the Switch version of FIFA 21 is a notoriously lazy cash grab. FIFA 21 Legacy Edition, as it’s called, is straight up just the same game as FIFA 20 Legacy Edition, only with some updated kits and squads. While the Switch version does offer Ultimate Team, it’s an incredibly stripped back version of the mode.
