E3 2018: Square Enix Show More of Shadow of The Tomb Raider

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

After debuting gameplay at Xbox’s press conference last night, Square Enix have offered another glimpse at Shadow of the Tomb Raider during their own presser at E3 2018.

Lara is not a friend of gravity.

Edios Montreal showcased some new gameplay, including how Lara can use her environments to her advantage. She is seen hiding in the trees before taking out a pair of armed guards in typically brutal fashion.

From the looks of the gameplay, it’s incredibly polished already, as well as just as visceral, Lara jumps down on top of a guy at one point and stabs him in the skull before doing the same to his friend but in the neck. Oh, and then she kills another one, and another one, an–basically, Lara is a bad person.

The gameplay shown was captured on an Xbox One X and looks gorgeous, though you would expect as much for a game that cost $100 million to produce. Eidos Montreal also announced there would be full underwater exploration and a huge hub explore. Also, tombs.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a highly ambitious (and expensive) venture for the series and will conclude the precursor trilogy of Lara Croft when it launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on 14 September 2018. Will you be playing it? Let us know.
