The highly anticipated release of Dying Light 2 happened in early 2022, with excited fans eager to finally play the sequel. This horror parkour adventure game was launched on February 3rd after a handful of delays had set it back, and it was available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X & S. But will it also come to Game Pass?
While Dying Light 2 is absolutely worth every penny, some fans may be curious to know if it’ll be coming to Game Pass anytime soon. There was no game day release to Game Pass for Dying Light 2, and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the game will be headed there in the near future either.
About Dying Light 2
Dying Light 2 is the sequel to Dying Light and takes place 20 years after the events of the first game. Once again, players will have the chance to experience the signature Dying Light series’ parkour game style and the day/night cycle they came to love in the original game.
However, Dying Light 2 offers a vastly larger world, known as the city of Villedor. It also places a stronger emphasis on the game’s narrative and contains several different human factions, a diverse storyline, tons of decisions to make, and prominent RPG mechanics. Enemies in the game come in a variety of terrifying forms, so players will need to switch between brute force and stealth if they hope to make it out alive.
The signature parkour-based movements and combat style seem to be more refined and elevated this time around. Players will be faced with many choices, many of which have a concrete and visible impact on the world around them.
To top it all off, you’ll also get to slaughter ridiculous amounts of zombies, so what’s not to love?
Dying Light 2 & Game Pass
Dying Light 2 launched back on February 3, 2022, and is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. During its first month of being publicly available, five million copies of the game were sold.
Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, there was no game day release to Game Pass for Dying Light 2 for those fans hoping to take a crack at the game without paying that new game price. Even though Dying Light 2 was first announced at an Xbox press conference during E3 in 2018, there were and still are no official plans for the game to be made available on the popular gaming subscription service.
The original Dying Light never made its way to Game Pass, so the outlook that its sequel will appear there seems fairly bleak. Fans can keep their fingers crossed, but it’s probably best not to hold your breath.
