DOOM Nintendo Switch Release Date Revealed For This November

I’m still coming to grips with how exactly this is possible, but the (almost) full version of last year’s seminal DOOM will be arriving on Switch on November 10th.

Graphical downgrades were necessary to bring the demon-slaying wild ride to Nintendo’s less powerful machine, but the only other concessions come in the form of the SnapMap level editor, which allows players to create their own levels, and framerate locked at 30fps. Adding to that, the multiplayer will be in its full form, including all of its DLC, though not on the cartridge – its large size means it will need to be downloaded separately. The full thing comes as one when you get it digitally, however.

The port has come around thanks to id Software’s partnership with Panic Button, with the former discussing the experience and what to expect from DOOM in the video down below. If you’ve watched the Noclip documentary, you know that Creative Director Hugo Martin is a pretty entertaining guy, and he’s joined by Executive Producer Marty Stratton.
